Prelude to the Claremont 5 Second Film Festival - Spotlight on Music
A special prelude to the Claremont 5 Second Film Festival will be hosted on Wednesday May 6th at the Claremont 5 Laemmle Theatre. The event will begin at 7 pm and will screen short films that focus on music. These films will not be repeated on May 7th. This will be a musical evening to remember!
This evening will include The Lady in Number 6, the Oscar winning documentary. The Lady in Number 6 is one of the most inspirational and uplifting stories. As the world's oldest pianist and holocaust survivor, 109 year-old Alice Herz Sommer shares her views on how to live a long and happy life. She discusses music, laughter and how to remain optimistic come what may. The film features beautiful photographs and rare film footage that truly brings Alice's extraordinary story to life.
During the evening we will also show a video of the Odessa Philharmonic Orchestra and other inspirational films.
