Object Work Intensive with Chris Nik
Object Work is one of the most critical aspects of solid scenework. It's an endless source of inspiration and helps pull your audience into the stories you create. We'll explore how you can build characters, kickstart lagging scenes, and increase the professionalism of your shows.
Chris has been performing improv since 1999. He's toured North America with Einstein Meets Elvis, performing at such events as the Del Close Marathon in New York, NCCAF, the Toronto Improv Festival, and the Charleston Comedy Festival. Here in Atlanta he has founded several longform shows including Astronaut University and the genre-bending multimedia based Sideshow. For six years he ran the crossfit-style jam Richard Kickers that helped expose new and experienced improvisors to a weekly fast paced mental workout. He can currently be seen performing at Highwire Comedy's Soapbox Show.
