Epidemic of Heart Disease in South Asians: Strategies and Solutions
We welcome you to a CME discussion about the unique challenges in managing the South Asian population and strategies that can help deliver care effectively.
South Asians, people who trace their origins from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka, are four times more likely to develop cardiovascular disease than the general population.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION ARE: -Understand the associated metabolic and behavioral risk factors underlying the epidemiology of CAD in South Asians
-Review the findings from the target population that has completed the lifestyle intervention program at South Asian Heart Center
-Understand and help patients implement lifestyle changes to decrease the risk of CAD and enhance longevity
The latest South Asian Heart Center has opened its doors in Los Gatos. This center will provide support for practices and their patients based in the Los Gatos and adjoining areas.
Spouses are welcome to join this event.
