SOURCE - Scenes & Songs from Where You Are & Where You Want to Be, Free Jambalaya's newest world premiere piece, was written specifically for the 2015 Acts of Faith Festival, and is being produced in collaboration with Henley Street Theatre & Richmond Shakespeare.  SOURCE is a collection of scenes and songs that represent the spiritual journey of the individual amidst the uncertainty of modern American life, and explores the eternal human need to "find oneself" in a world that is moving faster every day.  SOURCE will feature an ensemble cast led by award-winning Richmond theatre veteran Julie Fulcher-Davis, along with the exciting talents of Patricia Alli, Emily Turner, and James Tormey.

Bios:

Julie Fulcher-Davis is an accomplished actress, director, playwright, composer, lyricist, voice-over talent and drummer. She is an Artist in Residence/Adjunct Professor at the University of Richmond.   Julie attended Shenandoah University then furthered her training in NYC.  Her musical scores are heard all over the country with VaRep's  national touring company in such productions as, Pocahontas, Jungle Book , and more.... Julie is a nine time Phoebe Award Winner.  Favorite onstage roles include Charity in Sweet Charity, the witch in Into The Woods, Delores in Olympus On My Mind,, Amanda Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie and the one woman show The Search For Signs Of Intelligent Life In The Universe.  Recent directorial projects include Little Women, The Whale and Facing East which garnered her a Richmond Theatre Critic's Circle nomination.  Julie is a member of Actors' Equity, The Dramatist Guild, and an Associate Artist of Hattheatre.  

Cheryl Fare (Free Jambalaya CEO, SOURCE Playwright & Director) - Cheryl Fare is a performing arts veteran, with more than 3 decades of credits in professional theatre as a writer, performer, producer, director and manager.  Before joining Free Jambalaya, Cheryl served as the Producer at Richmond Shakespeare, providing transitional leadership culminating in the successful merger with Henley Street Theatre.  Cheryl's favorite roles as an actor have been with several the Barksdale Theatre, and the film Lake City with Sissy Spacek.  In the music industry, Cheryl served several years on staff at Richmond Jazz Society, and is a published singer/songwriter and recording artist with 3 single releases and international radio play from her the 2009 release, Springfield.

Matt Treacy (Free Jambalaya CFO, SOURCE Composer & Musical Director) - Matt Treacy is a Richmond-based producer, writer, and musician.  He is the founder and co-producer of the production company Free-Jambalaya, for which he is the writer/creator of The Intricacies, Russian Folk Tales, Ray Bradbury's Palace of Metaphors, Doctor Who and the Game of Death, The Reasonable Monster, and On the 9's With Nick Nueve.  He has also written original scores for Time Tells (Theatre Lab) and served as the resident composer and musical director for Richmond Shakespeare from 2011-2013.  He currently manages artistic venues at Plant Zero complex, and serves as a music producer and session collaborator with Sound of Music Studios.
