Come join us at the Atlanta Preservation Center's LP Grant Mansion for an unforgettable evening of philanthropy and become part of the effort to restore Atlanta's first public fountain.
The Erskine Memorial Fountain, located at the Ormond Street Entrance of Grant Park, was the city of Atlanta's first public fountain. Gifted to the city in 1896 by Ruby Ward, as a tribute to her late father Judge John Erskine, the fountain has suffered continual and extreme neglect to the point where it is now non-functioning and all but forgotten.
The mixer will take place on April 18th from 7pm - 10pm. Enjoy complimentary food and drinks from Octane Coffee, Ria's Bluebird, Stone Soup Kitchen and the eclectic sounds of DJ Spice Bomb. Anyone interested in learning more about the history of the fountain may attend a talk at the fountain at 6:30pm.
Parking will be at Zoo Atlanta parking lot located at 800 Cherokee Ave SE, Atlanta, GA. Complimentary shuttle service to and from the LP Grant Mansion will be available, or you may choose to take the 12 minute walk to the event and enjoy seeing one of Atlanta's oldest neighborhoods. The fountain is a short 5 minute walk from the parking lot for anyone desiring to attend the informative talk at 6:30pm.
The Erskine Fountain Fund, a group of civic-minded individuals and organizations, is operating as a division of the Grant Park Conservancy, a 501c3 non-profit. 100% of all tickets sales proceeds are being used to fund the restoration of the fountain. Your ticket purchase price, along with any donations, are 100% tax deductible.
