Love the Motion mini workshop
Do you long to add incredible value to your still-image slideshows with high-quality video? Or maybe you've already started adding motion, and hope to bring more professionalism to it? How would you like to master hand-held video, to assist transitions from still images to video with ease? Do you want to get personal attention at a workshop with only a few attendees?
Learning will be catered to individual needs, with coverage of the following available:
1. Pre-production methods (from minimal to extensive).
2. Video shooting, including stabilization methods (hand held & with minimal equipment), manual focus tips, white balance, lighting, angles in video production, and more.
3. Post-production process, including editing with Final Cut Pro, and other programs upon request.
4. Tips on how to WOW clients by inviting them to preview their film at an exclusive "video premiere night."
You will participate in skill-building activities such as instruction, Q&A (group & one-on-one), and several practice shoots (focus on birth photography, mama & baby, or family & children - by attendee request). Taking chosen clips from these practice sessions, you will create a professional, impressive 1 minute promo reel. This video (created during the workshop, on the last day) will serve as your video portfolio and give you the momentum needed to add motion to your still image product line up.
This RETREAT-STYLE WORKSHOP for photographers is April 13-15th.
Monday: We'll start with check in & introductions at 1pm, followed by some instruction, a guest instructor, dinner, a quick sunset practice shoot, then independent time.
Tuesday: Beginning the day with breakfast, we'll get an early start, review some shooting tips, and get started with a practice shoot (with models). The afternoon will include some editing instruction, and guided help with getting your video clips into your editing program & putting together a short portfolio film. We'll work on this (and eat more delicious food) the rest of the day.
Wednesday: Breakfast, followed by a fun "premiere" of attendees final films, and goodbyes.
The workshop includes 2 nights of accommodations with a private room & bathroom, all meals by a talented local caterer, mini group instruction, 1-on-1 instruction and critique, a workshop bag and handbook to guide you through the instruction and beyond, individual help to create your portfolio film, and much more!
