RAISE THE BARN 2015
The 2nd Annual Feast Down East Farm Dinner & Benefit will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 6-10 pm on the picturesque grounds of Historic Poplar Grove Plantation, 10200 US Hwy. 17N, Wilmington, NC.
The event will include a tapas-style gourmet dinner and dessert prepared by Wilmington's top chefs, using locally grown and raised ingredients. Joining us this year are Keith Rhodes of Catch, James Doss of Pembroke's/Rx, Craig Love of Surf House, Brent Poteat of 22 North, Steve Wine of Yosake, Ryan Ojanpa of 9 Bakery & Lounge, Ryan Andress of UNCW Campus Dining, John Balderson of Plantation Village and Smokey Masters and Christi Ferretti of Pine Valley Market.
This elegant yet comfortable affair begins with cocktail hour from 6-7 pm featuring delicious horderves and Sarah Daniels' beautiful violin melodies. The open bar set-up will feature Wilmington Home Brew beer and Tryon Distributing wines; plus a specialty cocktail with Terry Herring Bourbon infused with Newberry's Blueberries.
Stroll the grounds and enjoy the spectacular food, dancing, silent auction, wagon rides and a quick game of corn hole, while listening to the music of popular local band L SHAPE LOT.
Tickets are $80 per person/two for $150. Sponsorship packages also available. Seating is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door.
Proceeds benefit the non-profit work of Feast Down East, helping connect communities to local farm fresh food and improving access to healthy food in underserved communities.
