One Voice Mixed Chorus - Northern Voice Festival

One Voice Mixed Chorus is Minnesota's only and the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies mixed chorus. Founded in 1988, One Voice has 125 singing chorus members ranging from ages 17 to 77. They perform between 20 and 30 concerts a year at schools, community gatherings, faith communities, corporate diversity events, and their annual marquee concerts.

Program:
"Gender Unchecked" smashes the boxes of conventional gender stereotypes, featuring songs, playful and profound, that change the conversation about gender identity, including music by Stephen Sondheim, William Byrd, Fanny Mendelssohn, Andrew Lloyd Weber and Eric Whitacre. In the lobby will be an interactive display, including life size puppets from Bart Buch, award-winning puppeteer from Heart of the Beast Theater.
