Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs: Concert Choir - Northern Voice Festival

Repertoire may include a variety of genres including classical, folk songs, spirituals, pop, sacred and secular works.

The Angelica Cantanti Concert Choir is an SSAA group made up of energetic and dedicated middle school aged singers in grades 6-8. They will perform sophisticated music by Mozart, Purcell, and Whitacre while trying to understand our world through music created in Palestine, Israel, Norway and Nigeria. Maturing male and female voices combine to create a treble youth choir sound that forms the foundation for the next generation of choral singers. This outstanding ensemble is made up of young singers from around the Twin Cities and is conducted by Nancy Grundahl.

Celebrating 34 years, the Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs is committed to promoting excellence in choral music and dedicated to enriching the lives of youth by instilling a life-long love of music through performance and education. The organization has 4 choirs that provide singing and performance opportunities for over 200 young people in grades 2 - 12. Youth from all over the metro rehearse once a week from September -- May at the Bloomington Center for the Arts.
