Don Richmond Concert
The Center for Inner Peace in Pueblo is happy to announce a special fund raising concert performed by Master musician-singer/song writer Don Richmond, of Alamosa. Don's musical talents and long list of musical accomplishments are well know through out the region. He is a Native of the San Luis Valley, where his musical career begin in the early 1970's. Don has released six solo recording projects as well as four with Tumbleweed, three with Hired Hands, and three with the Rifters, the band Don has been playing with since 2004.
Richmond has composed and recorded musical soundtracks for three documentary films seen nationally and internationally; Still Waiting Life After Katrina, seen nationally on PBS, the civil rights documentary We Did It All Ourselves, aired on PBS and international film festivals, and Roy Bedichek's Vanishing Frontier that also aired nationally on PBS. Don has also been Artist in Residence and Aesthetic Institute Instructor with the Colorado Council on the Arts and has authored a book on the psychology of creativity and performance titled Getting Your Music Past the Fear, available through Amazon. There is also a website devoted specifically to the book www.musicandfear.com .
