"Mr. Lincoln Comes Home" Luncheon
NOTE: AS OF 3/17/15, THE TIER 1 TICKETS (Lunch and Symposium) FOR THIS EVENT HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE TO THE FREE TICKET AVAILABILITY: In order to proactively satisfy safety and security requirements, the free theater seats for the Symposium portion will be made available for online Will Call reservation beginning Friday, April 17th at 12pm. It has been decided that offering the tickets ahead of time will be the safest way to ensure a smooth event, and prevent anyone who hoped to attend from possibly being turned away after standing in line. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this recent change might cause. There will be a maximum of 2 tickets per reservation for the free seating, and all attendees will need to provide their full name (including full middle name), their address, and date of birth. Instructions for submitting detailed information for each attendee will be emailed after the tickets are reserved.
-Photo ID will likely be required of ALL attendees, regardless if they are Tier 1 or Tier 2.
This luncheon and symposium is a ticketed, two-tier event held at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Hotel on May 2nd, 2015- immediately following the first stage of the procession. Start time is approximately 12:30pm, depending on the conclusion of remarks at 6th and Washington Streets.
The first tier is for paid attendees, and admission includes table seating and a catered, plated meal. Special remarks by noted dignitaries will be made during the meal. Paid attendees will have preferred seating for the Symposium following the meal. The second tier is FREE, but only includes theater-style seating for the Symposium. Tier 2 guests will be allowed into the hall after the meal has been served and prior to Dr. Edna Greene Medford's presentation.
Tickets for the seated meal are only $35 per person, and there will only be 200 tickets made available. Theater-style seating for just the symposium is also limited. Both are first-come, first-serve in availability via this page.
The Luncheon is sponsored by the Illinois State Historical Society and the 2015 Lincoln Funeral Coalition, and the Symposium is sponsored by the Abraham Lincoln Association. Thanks to the 10th Illinois Volunteer Cavalry Regiment for their support in organizing and staffing this event.
