Participants will learn the intricacies of creating and keeping a wild yeast starter, experience how temperature and time impact the flavor and texture of bread and get to feel, smell and taste all parts of the sourdough process. We'll bake pizzas on our deck ovens for lunch and do lots of bread tasting together. You'll have space to explore our equipment, try your hand at shaping and to ask questions in this intimate class which is capped at 8 students. Take home your own starter and some bread dough for baking at home that night in one of our rising baskets. If you can't get enough, sign up for our class on March 14, "High Hydration Sourdoughs," which builds on what you learned in this one.
