Viennese Waltz Night with the Kamuela Philharmonic Orchestra
Make this Valentine's Day one to remember by joining us at the Kamuela Philharmonic's Viennese Waltz Night fundraiser.
This Valentine's Day at 5:30, we'll be celebrating an enchanted evening of romance by filling the Kona Ballroom at the Hilton Waikoloa with Viennese music, food, wine, and dance. We will be performing many traditional Strauss waltzes, including well-known favorite "The Blue Danube", as we serve pupus and wine, and host a silent auction to raise money for our organization.
Everyone is encouraged to attend, but this event will hold particular appeal to the dancers of our community, as the dance floor will be open and waltzing is highly encouraged! Show off your dance moves, or just sway to the beautiful music. Bring the love of your life, or just a love of lovely Viennese music. Either way, come celebrate Valentine's Day with Kamuela Philharmonic at Viennese Waltz Night!
Lance Oliver, a prominent figure in the local dance community, will be hosting a workshop at The Elks Club in Kona, in preparation for the Viennese Waltz Night, for those who want to learn a few moves before attending the event. Workshop to be held on Sunday, Feb. 8, 6:00-7:30pm. Cost will be $15 per couple, $10 single, payable in cash, check or credit card.
He will also be hosting a refresher course the day of the event, at 5:30. The doors will be opening at 5 PM on February 14th.
Discounted parking is available, but space may be limited the day of the event. Carpooling is encouraged!
