Saturday, March 21, 2015 9:30 AM 11:30 PM
Unitarian Fellowship Hall 2124 Brewster Street (at Lowell) Redwood City, CA 94062
Homeschooling your child can be an incredibly rewarding journey, but sometimes the homeschool road gets a little bumpy. You can run into unforeseen circumstances, challenges, or lack of cooperation that makes it seem like you're standing still rather than moving forward. For example:
What happens if your children won't cooperate? What if you don't feel capable of teaching? What if you get burned out? What if the curriculum you choose doesn't work? What if your husband and you don't agree on what methodology to use? What if the kids' grandparents think homeschooling is a bad idea? What if you don't have money to spend on curriculum? What if your children want to go back to school? What if nothing you try works?
In this interactive workshop, we'll expose these potholes and provide some strategies on how to avoid them. Together, we'll brainstorm ways to mitigate nearly every trial and tribulation you'll come across as a homeschool parent. Get practical advice and solutions that will ease your anxiety, help you get the cooperation you need, and inspire you to make positive changes to improve the journey for your family.
This is NOT an introduction to homeschooling. This workshop is for parents who are already homeschooling and need some extra support and inspiration. Please do not sign up for the workshop unless you are currently homeschooling and/or have attended any of our introductory workshops such as "Homeschool 101" or "The Art of Homeschooling."
