He has amassed three highly-regarded albums of original music with accompanying remix records andcompilations released on Thievery Corporations ESL imprint and his own Wonderwheel Recordings. He has done remixes of songs by Bob Marley, Nina Simone, Astor Piazolla, The Pimps of Joytime, Mr Scruff, Quantic and many others. To celebrate the 10th anniversary of his debut release, Endangered Species, Nick has put together Wonderworld: 10 Years of Painting Outside The Lines, a special mix CD chronicling his musical evolution over the last decade. Wonderworld is a masterful, seamless mix of 23 career highlights, including original productions and remixes from a vast array of producers from all over the world. This special mix CD comes with a card inserted for free download of all the individual tracks, and is also available oncassette. Born in the capitol city of Khartoum, where she spent the first eight years of her life, she relocated to Taez, Yemen with her family to escape the ever-stifling regime in her native country, then moved to the U.S. in 1994 when a brief civil war broke out in Yemen. Alsarah started her musical training at 12. After attending The Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter High School, in Hadley, MA, she studied music at Wesleyan University with a concentration in ethnomusicology. Residing in Brooklyn, NY, Alsarah is a self-proclaimed practitioner of East-African retro-pop. She has been featured on The Nile Projects debut release, Aswan, and has collaborated with French producer Debruit on the album Aljwal, (Soundway). Silt, her debut album with her band The Nubatones, was released by Nickodemus Wonderwheel Recordings, followed by Silt Remixed featuring reinterpretations by Nickodemus, DJJeff, Captain Planet, the Spy from Cairo and others. www.alsarah.com www.soundcloud.com/alsarah
DJ Sep is the founder, promoter, and main resident DJ at Dub Mission. For 22 years, Sep was also on Bay Area radio: first at college radio station KUSF and later at Berkeley's public radio station, KPFA. She's the co-compiler (with producer Shockman) of Babylon Is Ours: The USA in Dub, a collection of all-exclusive American dub tracks (on Select Cuts). In 2009, Mochipet's Daly City Records released her remixes (with Jason Short) of "Get Your Dub Wet" featuring Juakali and Mista Chatman. Sep has won a Goldie Award (Bay Guardian) and been nominated for Best DJ (SF Weekly Music Awards). She has spun at venues in London, New York, Washington DC, Miami, and Los Angeles and has opened for the likes of Sly & Robbie, The Wailers, Culture, Big Youth, Les Nubians, Rachid Taha, Kinky, and The Cinematic Orchestra among many others. Her latest projects, the Biggering Riddim, an EP of original music featuring dr.
