Yoga for Swimmers
In this workshop we will look at the physical patterning that develops in a swimmer's body over time as a result of repetitive motion in the water. Using Yoga Tune Up Therapy balls, we'll massage key muscles responsible for smooth aquatic movement in order to release chronic tension and increase mobility. Then from this new place of openness, we'll boost your body's flexible strength through simple targeted exercises in common areas of injury - the rotator cuff muscles, the back, hips, and knees. You'll leave feeling open, balanced and powerful, with new tools to stay this way both in and outside of the water!
