The Vice and Virtue Revue
This absolutely delicious show will be serving up classic burlesque with a spicy kick and sweet and sour comedy stylings in a cabaret event set to the gin-soaked strains of LIVE New Orleans Jazz from The Soggy Po' Boys! Roses are alright, and candy is dandy, but nothing guarantees satisfaction like The Vice and Virtue Revue! No soul in Heaven or Hell is safe from mockery, and wether you've got an angel or a devil on your shoulder, they are going to be dazzled, scintillated and doubled over in laughter with you! Our all-star cast will classical paintings, ancient tales and the very dead to life with acts both beautiful, hilarious and bizarre!
Starring:
Magnolia Jackson Pickett Burnside- "The Godmother"- Magnolia has many years been voted Richmond's Best Drag Queen. She is a comedienne supreme with jokes just as inventive and outlandish as her glittering costumes. She produces a laugh-riot drag and variety show in Petersburg every month that has caused more than a few mimosa-spit-takes and recently hosted the Holiday's at the Jefferson and Byrlesque at the Byrd extravaganzas for audiences gasping for air between guffaws.
Deepa De Jour- "The Magician"-Deepa is a burlesque performer par excellence, taking inspiration from the beauties and music of the Golden Age of burlesque. The multi-talented "Delectable Dish" produces her own Richmond Burlesque Revue every month, and has taught the craft and love of burlesque to many students through her skill and devotion.
Rusty Bolts- "The Brawn"-This hunky He-Man can accomplish amazing feats with his bare-hands that few would ever dare to try! Rusty's side-show strongman moments will have you slack-jawed, weak-in-the-knees and begging for more!
Ellie Quinn- "The Wildcard"-Ellie Quinn is practically made of passion! When the muse strikes, she answers the call with fervor, expertise and whole lot of base! She has performed at festivals all over the country and regularly produces shows in Richmond and Washington D.C.
Melody Magpie- "The Princess"- This little lady will steal her way right into your heart! Melody Magpie defines Burly-Cute with her whimsical acts, like dreams in the daylight. She has portrayed everything from fairies and killer plants to Lil' Bub, and you won't want to miss what she's cooked up this time!
Zhora Nova- "El Diablo"- Zhora Nova fell to Earth and immediately started taking her clothes off! "The Beauty from BEYOND" has brought friction to science-fiction and turned the Twilight Zone into an erogenous zone. She's co-producing The Vice and Virtue Revue and has a devil-of-a-time in store for you!
Ophelia Derriere- "Her Holiness"- This woman has more bumps and grinds than a meatball factory falling down a mountain! Miss a second of her shimmies and shakes, and regret it for the rest of your days! She's co-producing The Vice and Virtue Revue and has wowed audiences on and off the mic her quick wits and hot hips.
The Soggy Po' Boys- "The Music"- Listening to the Po' Boys is like stepping into a sexy time-machine! By the end of their first song, you'll feel the touch of a bygone breeze rolling off the Mississippi River, the jostle of a trolley car and the swirling intoxication of 1930s Bourbon Street. Their live and lively New Orleans Jazz will accompany the performers and audience on a journey through Heaven and Hell and everywhere in between.
