FILM ANALSIS CLASS - EAST OF EDEN
What separates the great, classic movies of lasting value of importance from all the rest?
This 6 Hour Class, taught by Tony Savant, will deconstruct and analyze the classic movie EAST OF EDEN, to explore the writing, directing, acting and cinematic contributions the actors and film artists made in telling this story.
Content includes essential principles in screenwriting, story construction, & filmmaking. A serious, detailed, intense, faced-paced class, instructive for all actors, writers, directors, producers literally anyone in the business of making movies.
Director Elia Kazan was masterful at turning psychology into behavior, and in James Dean he found a talented young actor whose intensity and behavior could perfectly dramatize the subtext of the theme in this classic Cain and Abel story based on the John Steinbeck novel, wonderfully scripted by Paul Osborn. Four Academy Awards Nominations (Jo Van Fleet won for Best Supporting Actress).
If you want to make great movies, study and understand the best.
