Hispanic League 16th Annual Scholarship Awards Spanish Nite Gala
We are very excited for 16th Annual Scholarship Awards Spanish Nite Gala! The Hispanic League Scholarship Program awards $2,000 and $3,000 annual scholarships to outstanding Hispanic students who are current or former Forsyth County ELL students. This program culminates at the annual Spanish Nite Gala. Since 2000, the Hispanic League has awarded 250 scholarships worth over $490,000! This year we will surpass half a million dollars!
For the 16th Annual Spanish Nite live band we welcome Orquesta Mayor. Orquesta Mayor was formed in 2006 in Charlotte, NC by bandleader Helder Serralde for the purpose of connecting people to quality music and an enriching multi-cultural experience. The Orchestra is made up of 12 professional musicians: 2 Trumpets, 1 Trombone, Conga, Timbal, Bongo, Piano, Baby Bass, and 4 singers, all of different nationalities such s Cuba, Peru, USA, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Thanks to the experience, ability and talent of its members, Orquesta Mayor has had the opportunity to accompany different salsa artists such as India, Maelo Ruiz, Hector Tricoche, Raulin Rosendo, Paquito Guzman and Domingo Quinones. We can't wait to dance to the Salsa beats of Orquesta Mayor!
