Sandy and Richard Riccardi with Michael Cobb in TALLAHASSEE!
With over 4.6 million hits on YouTube, Sandy and Richard Riccardi have taken the country by storm with their all-comedy original cabaret, outlining their cracked and bush-whacked path to love, social consciousness and hot flashes. NYC Cabaret Scenes Magazine says: "Sandy and Richard Riccardi made one hell of rib-tickling and satisfying cabaret night out."
Michael Cobb is the front man for "Hawaiian Soul", one of Hawaii's most exciting and unique musical groups. Performing classic hits, from the Temptations to Earth, Wind and Fire; Sam Cooke to Luther Vandross; Stevie Wonder to Usher; Michael Cobb thrills and mesmerizes his listeners, combining more than sixty years of Soul, R&B, Funk, Jazz, and Dance music to ensure a party like no other!
Michael Cobb is a 1982 graduate of Godby High School. Sandy Wright Riccardi is a 1983 graduate of Godby High School. All proceeds after expenses go to the Godby High School Alumni Association.
Concert will be held at the Jeff Bradford Auditorium at Godby High School.
Bios: Sandy Wright Riccardi earned her Bachelor of Music degree at Converse College in Spartanburg, SC, and her Master's in Music at Manhattan School of Music. After performing regularly in New York City musical theater for 11 years, she moved to sunny CA and met her sweetheart and partner in crime, Richard.
Richard Riccardi has played for Tom Jones, Mel Torme, Joel Grey, and countless other great singers. He is currently a regular with the "Skywalker Orchestra" (the musicians who record movie soundtracks and video games at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch). He has played with the San Francisco Symphony, Opera and Ballet. There is also a reasonable chance he's "that guy playing the piano" for your iPhone ringtones.
Michael Cobb received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa
in Finance and General Studies. When he is not singing the National Anthem at Detroit Lions games or keeping Hawaii dancing into the wee hours of the morning, he is a financial planner with Prudential Insurance.

An Evening with Sandy and Richard Riccardi
The Metropolitan Room November 10, 2011
You could almost call it a musical version of Saturday Night Live. Sandy and Richard Riccardi's Metropolitan Room show was a fun-filled hour of lampoons, jabs and jibes on a host of topical subjects. With mostly their own original songs, but with an occasional borrowed tune to which the pair wrote parodies ranging from puckish to cynical to contemptuous, they took sharp aim at, among other items, politicians, TV evangelists, Broadway musical wannabees, sexual orientation, and the Twitter explosion.
The music and material gave Sandy Riccardi plenty of opportunity to establish her proficiency as a versatile singer and actress. If anything, she so immersed herself in the procession of characters she assumed that the audience might not have had time to appreciate the quality of her near-operatic voice. But sharp-witted content was more the show's objective than was a musical recital.
The numbers included a spoof on some of the current crop of Republicans jockeying for the Presidential candidacy, a song revealing why some guys feel they need to drive a truck, the source of "The Southern Girl's Mating Call," and a rollicking ode to a woman's "change of life."
And, while I won't give it away, one of the show's highlights was Sandy's response to Sarah Palin's remark of a few years back that she was "speaking for all the hockey moms."
Richard Riccardi, Sandy's husband, may have been sequestered behind the piano, but as her spouse, partner, musical director and accompanist he was a willing, and eminently salutary accomplice to the musical goings-on, much of which he composed and/or co-authored. Together, Sandy and Richard Riccardi made one hell of rib-tickling and satisfying cabaret night out.
