New England-based painter Jon Imber was diagnosed with ALS, a fatal degenerative disease, in 2012. The film follows his creative adaptations to ALS, his devotion to his art and his family, and his determination to complete his life's work while he can, painting more than 100 portraits of friends, family, and neighbors in three months. It is a testament to the power of art and the ability of a community to rally around one of its own.
