Invisible Beauties... A Poetry Workshop with Vicky Edmonds
Why are people drawn to poetry?  What is it about these tools that allows us to understand things more deeply, to see the invisible relationship between ourselves and other things?

In this day-long workshop (9:30am-3:30pm), we will use the art and practice of writing as an opportunity for bringing our deepest truths to the page and to the world.

Writing can inspire us.  It can change and open our world.  Through our own hand, from our own voice still inside, it can guide us to the hope in our lives. The intimacy of this kind of poetry, the essential need for it in our lives, is to bring us back home to ourselves, again and again, until we can finally live there.

This workshop is open to adults and teens. NO PREVIOUS WRITING EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. And while participants will be invited to share bits of their works-in-progress, it's your choice. (These creative tools have value whether or not you choose to share what you create.)

IN THE WORDS OF ONE WORKSHOP PARTICIPANT:
"Vicky has a phenomenal ability to take people from 'I'm not a writer' to courageous, heart-felt, thought-provoking images and powerful creative works. And as moving as their writing is, I'm even more inspired by how Vicky gently and expertly guides people through a process that expands their understanding, confidence, and sense of what's possible."

LUNCH: There will be a break for lunch, with optional writing prompts. Bring a sack lunch.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Your registration is refundable, less a small administrative charge, if you withdraw before 1/22/2015. No refunds or cancellations after 1/22; however, you are free to send someone else in your place. If a workshop is canceled because of lack of enrollment, you'll receive a 100% refund.
