Darwin Day 2015
Speakers include
Dr. David Lynn - completed an AB degree at the University of North Carolina, a PhD at Duke University, and a National Institutes of Health Fellowship at Columbia University, He has had faculty appointments at the University of Virginia, Cornell University, and the University of Chicago. After almost 20 years in Chicago, he moved to Emory University to initiate the emerging interdisciplinary area of biomolecular and systems chemistry. He has served as Chair of the Department of Chemistry since 2006, and began a significant expansion of the natural science faculty. But his original research into the chemistry of life's beginnings has brought recognition well outside the scientific community.
Dr. Elaine Hull - is a Professor of Psychology & Neuroscience at Florida State University. Her studies regarding the psychological and neurological bases for religious belief are widely regarded as casting new light on the psychodynamics of a most important area of human development.
Dr. Herb Silverman - a professor of Mathmatics, and an outstanding humanist activist. But mostly he's a really funny guy, whose political adventures, and wry, ironic narrative style have won many admirers in the freethought community.
