Conference Speakers We are delighted to invite the following guest speakers
Plenary Speakers: Rev. Lee Gatiss Lee has been Director of Church Society since Janaury 2013. He is married to Kerry and they have three children. In addition to editing an internet journal called Theologian, Lee serves as a member of the Latimer Trust Theological Work Group, the Review Board of Themelios, and is on the Councils of Fellowship of Word and Spirit, Reform, the Church of England Evangelical Council, and Affinity. Lee is Review Editor of Churchman, a Trustee of the annual St Antholin Lecture, and the Toon Lecture, and teaches 15-17th century church history to undergraduates at Cambridge University and is Adjunct Lecturer in Church History at Wales Evangelical School of Theology (www.west.org.uk). Lee read Modern History at New College, Oxford. After working for St. Ebbe's Church in Oxford, he was a student on the Cornhill Training Course in London, with a placement doing student work at All Soul's, Langham Place. From there he went on to read Theological & Pastoral Studies at Oak Hill Theological College in London. After ordination, Lee served for three years as the Curate of St. Botolph's, Barton Seagrave and St. Edmund's, Warkton. Then for more than five years he was the Associate Minister of St. Helen's, Bishopsgate in the City of London with responsibility for the Sunday Morning congregation and midweek groups as well as leading the Church Family staff team, and Reform London. While in London he also completed a ThM in Historical and Systematic Theology with Westminster Theological Seminary in the USA. He then spent three years researching 17th century biblical interpretation at Peterhouse and Tyndale House, Cambridge (where he was awarded the Lightfoot Scholarship).
Rev. Philip Wainwright Philip Wainwright is an Episcopal priest with degrees in history from King's College, London and the University of Kent at Canterbury. His primary research interest is the Church of England in the 17th Century. He has served parishes in New Mexico, Virginia and Pennsylvania, and is currently doing campus ministry at the University of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Thomas Isham Thomas Garrett Isham, career journalist and independent scholar, is a native of southern Michigan. A licensed lay preacher of the Diocese of Western Michigan, he is a conservative Episcopalian active in a variety of church-related causes. A graduate of Michigan State University, he is presently completing a book entitled Rock of Ages: the Life and Character of Augustus Toplady. He is also the author of A Born Again Episcopalian: The Evangelical Witness of Charles Pettit McIlvaine; A Christian Spiritual Psychology: The Four Temperaments of Jacob Boehme; The Geography of the Soul, and other books.
