Kamayan Style Fundraising Dinner
As many of you know, Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines in an un-foreseen and unimaginable way on November 8th 2013. Just a little over a year ago these beautiful people saw over 6,000 fatalities, billions of dollars in damages to houses, businesses, and monuments with the infrastructure to their lives and communities destroyed. A year later, we still see hundreds of thousands of people homeless, and living in conditions that have them dangerously exposed to the elements and possible crimes. There are many communities that lack clean running water and piping systems. Our goal is to bring and install as many water filters as possible while in Tacloban and Leyte.
We want to invite you to our fundraiser dinner to help raise funds to purchase Sawyer Clean Water Filters. The more we take the more lives we can impact so please Join Us for this incredible dinner experience.
There are 50 seats available so buy your tickets early and don't miss out. (http://cleanwaterphlippines.brownpapertickets.com/) Your ticket purchase gets you 1 seat for a 5 course Filipino dinner, 1 free drink ticket and helps in purchasing an extra water filter to take with us. There will be silent auction items available as well.
"Kamayan" means using your hands. Everyone will be dining in our native way of eating in the Philippines, using your hands. Included with your ticket your purchase you will receive a five course meal and a glass of cider. Dinner will start at 6pm and will end at 8pm.
