Celebrating Gender Transformation in the Nation's Capital

Based on real and local stories, The T Party is an immersive theatrical event that transgresses, transforms, and transcends gender norms. Through an exhilarating series of scenes, songs, videos, and at least one dance party, this will be an experience like no other!

An expanded presentation from the creator of Trip To the Moon at Synetic Theatre and Astro Boy and the God of Comics at Studio Theatre.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT & DIRECTOR
Forum Ensemble member Natsu Onoda Power writer/adapter/director/designer has worked with Forum Theatre as the set designer for bobrauschenbergamerica and Mad Forest. Original works include Astro Boy and the God of Comics (The Studio Theatre 2ndStage), Trip To the Moon (Synetic Theatre),The Omnivore's Dilemma, Madness and Civilization, The T Party,Trees and Ghosts (Georgetown University), Revenge of the Poisoned Ladies (Capital Fringe Festival 2008), Performance of Sleep in One Long Act Without Intermission, Are you my negative space?, and SCIENCE (FICTION) (Live Action Cartoonists). She has also directed The Songs of the Dragons Flying to Heaven by Young Jean Lee (The Studio 2ndStage) and the upcoming Yello Face at Theater J. She teaches at Georgetown University. She has been described as a "renaissance woman" (DC Theatre Scene) and is garnering a reputation for "doing some of the most exciting work in D.C.," (David Muse, artistic director of Studio Theatre in American Theatre Magazine).
