A Restorative Yoga and Metta Meditation Workshop.

Guidance and Props provided. Bring your own inquisitive mind, and of course your heart, in whatever state you find it: jaded and fragile, beaming and giddy, sattvic and free. Metta is good medicine for whatever state we encounter, and it is particularly helpful for difficult times, so don't be afraid to come if life at the moment finds you gloomy, or sucked into cynicism, or overwhelmed into complacency. That said, if you are in the rosy glow of the harmonious heart, resting in boddhicitta, Metta is tonifying, or perhaps preventative medicine; it is a crock-pot for the stock of boddhicitta; you will simmer in your own harmoniousness until the bones of your life are deeply saturated, and all the immune properties are activated. Metta is for all of us. You don't have to have any particular intention, but when you sign up, your creative juices will get stirred, undoubtedly, and you will begin to pay deeper attention to what hinders and what feeds your capacity to live in a conscious state of sweet emptiness and deep fullness. So, if you sign up today, or even if you don't, but in some place in you you know you will, your own inner metta retreat begins today, and sets you on track for a clear passage into 2015, and a reckoning with the part of yourself that navigates willingly towards new beginnings without needing to take a hatchet to the old. This is what we do best with; a deeper encompassing of all that we are, without having to bludgeon ourselves any longer for the sillinesses and fragilities that we haven't quite sorted out yet. Gentle steps, one after the other. Some luck, but even more pluck, as we stay close to each other, and to ourselves.
