Dance Through The Ages
Until scientists deliver on their on their promise to make time travel possible, nobody alive will be able to see the world's first ballet performance back in 1489. Fortunately, catching a reproduction of it is possible at Body and Soul Dance Theatre's Dance Through the Ages. During this performance, the company leads the audience along the evolution of dance, from the court dances of the Victorian era to the square dances of the 1700s and the contemporary jazz of the 1900s, splicing traditional steps with modern choreography. Amplifying these are spoken vignettes about the history surrounding the forms, as well as music that reflects specific eras. And to cap off the performance, the company even imagines what dance will look like in the future, assuming humans aren't overthrown by dance-hating robot rulers.
Kids tickets will be available at the door only for $12 (kids prices only available for kids 12 and under)
