The Show: The struggles of co-existing are wrought in each hilarious detail on stage for all of us to share. Enjoy a stand-up comedy experience with two of the funniest comedians married today: The newly married comedy duo of Doug Wyckoff and Teresa Wyckoff. They have an interactive show using marriage advice drawn from the audience while weaving in each of comic's own stories, jokes and experiences together seamlessly with audience suggestions. This format ensures that no two shows are ever the same. This is an all ages, "TV Clean" comedy show, with all of the laughs and none of the guilt.
Their Recent Stories: As newlyweds, married less than a year, Doug & Teresa Wyckoff feel they have a lot to share about marriage, and a lot to learn. So the spent 3-month together, for 24 hours a day performing in over 40 states (41 to be exact) during their summer/Fall Newlywed Tour. During this tour they searched for the most romantic spot in the country, had epic adventures and a few mis-adventures before moving to New York City. Since their recent move to New York, they've co-starred in a short dramatic play called "Do The Crime" in the Broadway Theatre District and graced the stage of comedy clubs like the historic Gotham Comedy Club. They have a lot of stories to tell and a lot of laughs to pass out.
Bios:
Doug Wyckoff is a seasoned and established comedian. Originally from Sandy, UT, Doug Wyckoff led his football team at Cottonwood High School in the class of 87' to a stunning 1-8 record his senior year. He still remembers their one Homecoming win like it was yesterday. Now he's back from his home base in NYC, to perform some comedy in his home state of Utah, to benefit his son. He's performed regular shows throughout Hawaii; the most revered comedy clubs in Hollywood and has headlined Nationwide. During his tenure in comedy he has shared the stage with household comedy names like Tom Arnold, Whitney Cummings, Chris D'elia and can be seen in Gray's Anatomy, CSI New York and the hit film Bridesmaids. Doug is an irreverent stand up comedian whose obstinate humor is universally offensive to all creeds, races, and cultures. He is non sequitur in his comedic performances, a lone wolf howling at the moon yet a leader of his pack, at least in age, and in his own mind. He headlined around the country from Casinos to comedy clubs and even a kids show.
Teresa Wyckoff, the aforementioned comedian new wife of Doug Wyckoff, is a sarcastic, dry and witty comedian with embarrassing and usually awkward moments that have become comedy jewels for all of us to share in. Originally from the Portland Metro area, she didn't start performing stand up comedy until she moved to North Carolina and later New York City. Wanting to live somewhere just as expensive as New York but warmer she moved to Maui where she met Doug and became one of the founding members of Power Up Comedy. Earlier this year she moved back to New York City, with her new husband in tow. Her unique brand of comedy is subtly a bit naughty but wrapped in an innocent and sarcastic package. Teresa has headlined for the Female Comics of Hawaii show in Honolulu as well as co-headlined with The He & She Show on assorted Hawaiian Islands and the all over the mainland US.
HOST - BOB BEDORE
Local Salt Lake City Comedian, Bob Bedore is the host of the show. Bob has had a varied life, he was DJ in the 80's and then started doing stand up. He toured with his stand up, and even opened a few shows for Ellen Degeneres when she was touring as "ShowTime's Funniest Person in America". I took a break from comedy when I got married and wanted to have a "real job". But instead opened up a theatre and started doing improv. Bob has written two books on comedy and first has sold over 20,000 copies. An improv expert, he performed improv almost every weekend for 19 straight years and am approaching my 3,000th show. His improve experience shines through in his expressive, fearless stand up style. Bob has opened for famous comedians like Brian Reagan, Demetri Martin, and John Hefron in Vegas. As Bob says, "I'm just a guy who likes to make people laugh."
