The Jig is Up Launch Event at Three Taverns Brewery
A new underground revolution, The Jig is Up aims to inspire how the state of Georgia can lead the way towards a sustainable future. Focusing on the important connection between food, sustainability and community through three visionary counterparts, author and founder James Carr invites Atlantans to celebrate the cohesive movement's launch with an exciting introductory event at Three Taverns Brewery on Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m.
After months of traveling across the state of Georgia conducting extensive research through exploration and interviews, Carr is thrilled to voice his passion with all who will read, watch and/or listen. Acknowledging the various ways that information can be absorbed and in effort to make the biggest possible impact, the goal of the concept is to spread the word about sustainability and bring people together through three creative elements: literature, film and music. By presenting the concept of The Jig is Up as a book, documentary and record album, future followers will be able to discover Carr's message by means of their preferred medium.
Throughout the event, guests will have the opportunity to experience each component both individually and as a whole. Clips from the forthcoming documentary will be shown while copies of the literary portion will be available for purchase. In addition, tracks from the album will be featured as the music for the evening.
Admission to the event is $12 per person and includes a Three Taverns souvenir glass, a tour of the brewery, six 5.5-ounce pours of Three Taverns' Belgian-style brews, and, of course, a first look at the visionary elements that comprise the revolution. Complimentary light bites from a food vendor and/or guest chef will also be available.
