On Saturday, January 3rd 2015, Portland based artists Ant B, Elin Skei, and Stewart Villain take the stage for the first Portland hip hop show of 2015. They will also welcome very special guest (Red Bull Artist) KONCEPT to perform songs from his upcoming release.
Portland artist Ant B will be performing songs from his new collaborative project with female singing sensation Elin Skei. The hard hitting delivery and lyrical array of Ant B blends with the powerful choruses and harmonies of the beautiful Elin Skei, all transcending into a stage presence unseen in the Northwest music industry.
Brooklyn artist KONCEPT has gained international acclaim from his vast catalog of music and outstanding interaction with fans. Twitter Verified and backed as a Red Bull Music Artist, KONCEPT is known for providing great energy at concerts and is famed for being able to whip the crowd into a frenzy.
Prominent Portland producer/artist Stewart Villain will be performing a live beat set to start the night off, promising to give the crowd something truly unique and creative. Stewart Villain has produced beats for some of the top names in the industry including: IAMSU, Problem, Danny Brown, and Smoke DZA to name a few.
"The New Renaissance" concert event is accompanied by a limited edition artistically designed shirt and CD. Portland, Oregon based design firm BXCR (Boxcar) was brought in to create a limited edition shirt to be given to pre-sale ticket purchasers and sold at the event.
The shirt is an artistic design which depicts a creative version of Renaissance painter Lorenzo Monaco's "Adoration of the Magi" from 1422. BXCR created the event art and shirt design to reflect the theme of Portland's "New Renaissance", which is a blend between the old and new. The CD art was also designed by BXCR and contains unreleased songs from the performing artists.
