Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol
After a sold out single performance in 2013, Bottled Lightning is bringing Mark Cabus and his solo performance of A Christmas Carol back! Performances will be at the Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University, December 19th, 20th & 21st.

The veteran actor plays 36 characters from the classic tale of transformation and redemption adapted from Dickens 1843 novella.

"Cabus delivers a tour de force, acting out all the parts in Charles Dickens' Holiday classic and making it seem as if that's the only way it should be done...," wrote Kevin Nance, the former theatre critic for The Tennessean in Nashville. "This Christmas Carol is one of the smallest yet most sensational shows of the year. Don't miss it."

Cabus is a skilled actor and director who was classically trained in England and in New York. He has performed all over the world in film and television as well as Off-Broadway and in regional and children's theater.

He's recognized in Atlanta for his work with the Alliance, Georgia Shakespeare, Theatrical Outfit, The Horizon and Theatre Emory. Mark's latest film and television credits range from the much-anticipated MLK biopic Selma (opening Christmas Day 2014) and the soon-to-be-released Nicholas Sparks' adaptation of The Longest Ride to joining the second season cast of AMC's critically acclaimed series TURN. His short film, The Important Things, co-written by Belmont University motion picture department chair Will Akers, won the coveted "Cut to the Chase" Award at the 2009 Eugene International Film Festival.

Mark Cabus in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol will be performed at The Conant Performing Arts Center at Oglethorpe University, 4484 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA  30319; 7:30pm December 23. Tickets are $15 for adults ($12 in advance or with canned food charitable contribution) at www.brownpapertickets.com; key word: "bottled lightning." Discounted tickets, priced at $10, are available for Actors Equity members and students at the box office with ID.

This performance is appropriate for the whole family but suggested for children 12 and over.
