Ensemble San Francisco is joined by SF Symphony's principal double bassist Scott Pingel. Also featured is our cellist Jonah Kim, called "the next Yo-Yo Ma" by the Washington Post.
The program includes movements from Schubert's Trout Quintet, and Strauss' Violin Sonata, as well as a duo for cello and bass by Rossini, and beautiful short string quartets by Puccini and Wolf. It ends with wonderful old-Hollywood-style arrangements of Raksin's Laura and Gershwin's Love is Here to Stay.
SF Classical Voice announced "Enter Ensemble San Francisco a hip, unstuffy, and malleable group of high-quality chamber musicians who are dedicated to fresh programming" and Examiner.com wrote "this collective of musicians possess an amazing amount of talent!"
Come join us this Saturday at 5pm at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
