8 Days Film Premiere - December 10th (Loyola University Maryland) (Student Tickets)
8 DAYS FILM AND MOVEMENT LANDS DECEMBER 10TH IN ONE OF THE NATION'S HIGHEST SEX TRAFFICKING JURISDICTIONS.

BALTIMORE PREMIERE, BENEFITING SAFE HOUSE OF HOPE

Baltimore, MD (November 20, 2014)  According to recent human trafficking research, Baltimore, MD is one of the Department of Justice's highest human trafficking jurisdictions in the nation. This event will grant Baltimore residents the opportunity to "clean up" their city through fundraising and awareness in partnership with Safe House of Hope. Safe House of Hope (SHO Hope), nonprofit 501c3, is dedicated to helping victims of sex trafficking become an active part of a healthy community through education and training, and to provide support for the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of survivors. The nationwide 8 DAYS campaign, benefiting local charities in each cities it visits and many others through the preceding TUGG campaign, is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to stop human trafficking in America.

"Individually, if we bless one life, we are making a difference," says screenwriter Philipa Booyens. "Together, we can change the world. I believe that. I know that. I've seen that through this filming process."

"Together we can change lives and end modern day slavery in this generation," says Denene Yates, founder of Safe House of Hope.

About Safe House of Hope (SHO Hope)

Safe House of Hope (SHO Hope) first began in 2010 by conducting street outreach. Through our outreach efforts, it became apparent that those working in prostitution wanted a way out but lacked the means to do so. To address this problem and better meet the needs of our clients, we took over YANA (You Are Never Alone) Inc.'s drop-in center on Hollins Street in September 2011. In March 2013, Safe House of Hope moved to a larger facility on Curtis Ave that allows us to provide more services to our clients.
Our services include 24-hour talk line, emergency housing, drop-in resource center, host families, prevention and awareness, GED classes, Bible studies, life skills, mental and physical health services in a family atmosphere. We aim to provide a positive family support system to encourage constructive life changes.

Our vision is to prevent and identify victims of sex trafficking, and then empower them to lead a healthy life.
Our desire is to offer hope and change to people caught in the snare of Human Trafficking. We serve both current and past victims to empower them to become healthy survivors.
