Prevailing from the highest murder city per capita in America; Flint, MI based metalcore act It Lies Within exploded on the scene with their energetic live performance and positive based message.
After quickly earning a few opening slots for Larger National Acts at their hometown venue The Machine Shop, ILW immediately hit the studio and prepared for the road. Touring full time since 2011, these guys are inching their way and becoming recognized on to the national circuit.
This life long group of friends are on a non-stop path to shed a different light on the metalcore scene with their creative music writing, positive message and insane live show. Because of this diversity they are a very entertaining group to watch.
Over the last two years, It Lies Within has played numerous sold-out shows with The Devil Wears Prada, All That Remains, We Came As Romans, Asking Alexandria, Motionless in White, Attack! Attack!, Texas in July, Times of Grace, Chiodos and more. ILW's first full length Luxor Records release "Chrysalis" was released Sept. 4th, 2012 and is Out Now on ITunes and Stores near you!
Like a prince ready to prove his worth to the kingdom, IT LIES WITHIN is gearing up to release a new album in Fall 2014.

GIVENSIX
"I am the way, I am the first, I am the end," is the guttural refrain from the pivotal track Victim off of Givensix's 2011 full length album Harvest. It's a lyric that begs questions, demands attention, binds your feet and hands, and forces you to sing along. Blending time tested rock and roll songwriting techniques with progressive tones and hints of death core, Givensix isn't your average metal band. Hailing from Flint, MI, they've forged their own sound, both dark and angry, yet somehow familiar, darkly comic and jaunty enough to make you wanna dance around or punch someone in the throat.
Harvest, was recorded with Tim Patalan (The Loft Studios, Sponge, Taproot), Ryan Darnell of 3Thirteen Entertainment, and Matt Dalton (37 Studios, In Fear and Faith, Maybe Whitney). The album is a tense and eerie journey of pain blended with tongue in cheek irony and misogyny. What it's not, however, is anything you've been hearing on Top 40 rock radio for the last fifteen years. Gathering accolades from fans and industry folks alike, Harvest has created a solid buzz.

Garnering fans from all genres of music has helped inject the band into venues across the Midwest. Simply put, they are not Nickleback or some bullshit emo/screamo semi-Christian-for-the-record-deal band, rather they are the perfect product of a barren city, a dying time, and a lost in the middle of nowhere culture.
