Ebb & Flow in Idyllwild
EBB & FLOW: MUSIC INSPIRED BY IDYLLWILD
On December 13th, the Rustic Theater will be swarming with great singers when the Hollywood-based acoustic pop/soul band Ebb & Flow comes to town. At 4:30 PM the trio of Gabby Gordon, Morten Kier, and Ronen Gordon will give a 90 minute concert of original songs mixed with holiday favorites. And to top it off, local choir singers of all ages and levels are invited to attend Gabby and Kier's big, open vocal workshop in the morning from 10:30 1:30 at the Rustic Theater, followed by a performance on stage with the band in the afternoon. The three musicians of Ebb & Flow have performed and taught workshops all over the US and Europe. They've also spent weeks in Idyllwild song-writing and filming a new music video entitled "Worry."
On December13th, it will be the first time they are visiting Idyllwild's Rustic Theater and are excited about making music with local singers, both professionals and those who enjoy vocalizing as a hobby. This fun holiday event is for everyone, young and old. The day begins at 10:30 with a workshop where Gabby Gordon and Kier teach three new charts to the participants. This is combined with warm-ups and vocal exercises, all in an informal, social, and fun setting. The event peaks when all workshop participants go on stage to perform with Ebb & Flow at the holiday matinee.
Ebb & Flow bring a holiday concert with a European flavor
The members of Ebb & Flow all reside in Los Angeles. But they originate from their own corners of Europe having lived in Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Israel, and England. Their journeys and meetings with people from all walks of life can be traced in Ebb & Flow's original, soulful repertoire. At their concerts, songs are elegantly tied together by personal tales from the musicians. Stories of lofty dreams, huge failures, and love lost and found. In other words: the Ebb and Flow of life. At this event, they will also sprinkle in all-time holiday favorites.
