Curious Palate Wine Tasting Class: Shiraz
You say "Shiraz," I say "Syrah" - but, it's the same grape none-the-less. In France it is known and grown as Syrah, and responsible for some of the Northern Rhône's big, bold red wines. However, in Australia and South Africa it goes by Shiraz and here in the U.S. you'll find both names. Syrah/Shiraz wines offer firm but smooth tannins, a medium to full body, and the rich flavors of black cherry, blackberry, plum, bell pepper, black pepper, clove, licorice, dark chocolate and smoked meat. So to be fair to all the names it might fall under, in this wine tasting class, we will explore all the possibilities!
The Curious Palate is a tasting class series that is designed to explore the world of wine, beer and spirits and learn your palate in an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The Curious Palate is for the taster who wants to take their personal wine, beer and spirits experience to a new level by building knowledge...while having fun! Space is limited; reservations are required. Curious Palate Tasting Classes are $25.00 per person and includes the beverage tasting, paired food bites, and engaging education.
