Ballet San Joaquin New Children's Ballet Theater Nutcracker Ballet 2014
The Ballet San Joaquin, New Children's Ballet Theater presents the much loved and magical ballet, The Nutcracker 2014 featuring professional guest artists from Ballet NY at the beautiful the Faye Spanos Concert Hall located on the University of the Pacific campus. Directed by Dorothy Percival.
Performance dates: Saturday, December 13, 2014 and Sunday, December 14, 2014. Show begins at 7:30p. Show length: With intermission, just under 2 hours.
KATIE GIBSON is a native of Boston, MA and began her training at Ballet Workshop of New England under the instruction of Jacqueline Cronsberg. Katie continued her training at the San Francisco Ballet School where she had the opportunity to perform with the San Francisco Ballet. She joined Oregon Ballet Theatre under the direction of Christopher Stowell in 2003 and danced with Miami City Ballet under the direction of Edward Villella from 2005-2010. Currently, Katie is also a dancer with the Suzanne Farrell Ballet and has danced with that company for three seasons.
JESSE CAMPBELL is a dancer with The Suzanne Farrell Ballet at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He received his dance training on scholarship both at the University of Arizona's School of Dance & The Joffrey Ballet School in New York where he was a member of the Joffrey School Company. In addition, Mr. Campbell spent summers on scholarship at American Ballet Theatre, The Rock School, Milwaukee Ballet, and Ballet Chicago. He graduated with a BA in Communication from the University of New Mexico at age 19 then graduated from the University of Arizona with a BFA at age 21, both Magna Cum Laude. He is currently on hiatus from pursuing his MFA degree at the University of Arizona. Mr. Campbell has been a company member with Rochester City Ballet, Ballet Montana, and Dayton Ballet and has performed as a guest artist with Aspen Santa Fe Ballet, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and Festival Ballet Albuquerque. In addition, he has performed internationally for Canterbury Ballet in New Zealand. Since its inception, he was part of Alessandra Ferri's production of The Piano Upstairs, which premiered in Spoleto, Italy. Jesse is excited to perform in Stockton with Ballet San Joaquin this December.
