Dance UK Industry Wide Conference 2015. "The Future: New Ideas, New Inspiration"
From the 9 - 12 April 2015, the dance sector will come together to discuss, debate and share their vision for the future of the industry
Day 1 - Friday 10 April
Venues: The Place / London Mayor's Office / Southbank Centre: "Brave New Future: Opportunities for Dance in the Wider World" Speakers across three venues include Roanne Dods with Jonzi D among others, Fleur Darkin, Artistic Director, Scottish Dance Theatre, Aleks Krotoski, broadcaster and journalist, Louise Richards, Co-Director, Motionhouse and Steven Brett, British Council.
Sessions will run at The Place ALL DAY (9am - 6pm) Price includes lunch and refreshments
Morning sessions at the Mayor's Office focus on fundraising with a live Dragon's Den pitch followed by a panel discussion on a post-Catalyst funded landscape for the future. (9am - 2pm) Price includes packed lunch and refreshments
An individual ticket for the City Hall sessions is available below for £30.
Afternoon sessions at Southbank Centre (3 - 4pm) There will be a panel debate on making and programming dance for young audiences Speakers include Fleur Darkin, Artistic Director, Scottish Dance Theatre, Enrique Cabrera, choreographer, Aracaladanza, Mari O'Neill, Family Arts Campaign and Shona Powell, Director of Lakeside Arts Centre.
An individual ticket for the Panel discussion at Southbank Centre is available below for £15.
Evening celebration / performance - National Youth Dance Company returns to Sadler's Wells to premiere Frame[d] created by the 2014-15 Guest Artistic Director Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
