Shakin Not Stirred Album Release Live at the Linen
Like a good cocktail, Shakin Not Stirred goes down smooth but delivers a punch. An acoustic and vocal concoction of original, soulful folk and classic swing/jazz covers. The bandâs three-part harmonies, accompanied by guitars, bass and mandolin, sneak up on you like dry gin, but you always feel good the next morning.
Some liken Shakinâ not Stirred to a home-grown cross between Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks and the Wailing Jennies. A good portion of the material on this CD is original and the musicians rearrange their covers for a fresh, unique sound. On stage, the groupâs contagious good humor and energetic performances inspired Idaho Statesman columnist Diane Ronayne to write, âItâs as if they KNOW this is supposed to be fun.â
