Event
Team Aqua Force
March 21 to May 30* Saturdays 10am--2pm Ages 10-14 *No session April 18
Where does the water in my house come from? Where does it go when I flush the toilet? How does it get clean before it goes into the ocean? How polluted is Lake Washington? What causes pollution? What actions can I take to protect our water and the birds, forests, and people who depend on it?
These are the science and leadership questions that Team Aqua Force will tackle on their 10-week mission. Saturday explorations include field science, lab experiments, field trips, ecosystem games, leadership training, forest restoration, and mentoring by peers and professionals. Then teams of junior conservation leaders will choose their mission and tackle a pollution problem, culminating in conservation action and presentations to their community.
Participants are required to attend all sessions. Lunch provided. Priority Deadline March 6. Final Deadline March 13.
