Brittany Heskett "Matchbox Shrines" workshop Feb 27, 2010
EAP Escondido, CA
Brittany is a largely self taught artist of over 20 years experience. She explores many different media and techniques to incorporate into her work. This is a way to up-cycle and re-invent something rather mundane into something fantastic.! You will take match boxes and turn them into personal iconic inventive, sparkly pieces of beautiful art, while exploring the different uses of paper, cloth and background texture technique to create one-of-a-kind shrines. Students are encouraged to bring any personal items including photo copies of small pictures to make their work more personal if they so choose. Each individual will be able to create 2-3 of their own personalized shrines, pins, wall hangings or magnets. It will be up to you!! This class is acceptable for all levels of creativity. If you would like to see examples of what your shrines may look like please visit www.brittsart.net.
