OneWorld Now!'s fifth annual Global Leader Dinner will feature travel guru,Rick Steves, host of PBS's "Rick Steves' Europe" and KUOW's "Travel with Rick Steves". Rick has been teaching Americans how to deepen connections with others through travel for over twenty years, and he will speak about travel as a political act.
Buy a raffle ticket for $20 (or better still, 3 for $50) and you'll be entered to win one of three great prizes:
- a week-long tour of Europe with Rick's company, Travel Through the Back Door, including airfare
- a celebratory bash for you and ten guests, at Julia's on Broadway, including drinks, dinner, dessert, as well as VIP tickets and seating to "La Faux", gifts, and photos with the cast and host
- a luxurious night for two plus in-room breakfast at Seattle's Grand Hyatt hotel
Tickets will only be on sale at the event, and we'll draw the lucky names after dinner!
Guest will enjoy a rich medley of world cuisines, including a Chinese first course, and your choice of Moroccan Tagine of Lamb shank, Egyptian Duckkah-crusted chicken, or Indian Channa Masala vegetarian entree. See event notes for RSVP information.
OneWorld Now!'s innovative after-school program for underserved high school students includes language classes in Arabic and Chinese, leadership workshops, and scholarships to travel abroad.
