Romance and adventure abound when a bored, working-class housewife suddenly decides to join her girlfriend on vacation in Greece. This hilarious, engaging play was a hit in London and New York, and later turned into a film, Oscar-nominated for best actress. Not to be missed!
*About the Stray Dog Theatre Studio Workshop Production: Stray Dog Theatre (SDT), in its continuous mission to promote arts, education, and outreach, presents the annual Studio Workshop Production. Each year, local artists have the opportunity to propose a play that aims to stretch and assist their artistic growth. One submission will be selected and fully produced by Stray Dog Theatre in each season. This opportunity is available to actors, directors, playwrights, and designers who seek to hone their craft.
This year SDT is pleased to announce the selection of Shirley Valentine, proposed by Director Edward Coffield and Kevin Kline Award winning actress Teresa Doggett as the 2009-2010 Stray Dog Theatre Studio Workshop Production.
SDT is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), professional theatre company and is funded, in part, by the Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Foundation, Regional Arts Commission, Missouri Arts Council, After School For All Partnership (ASAP), Area Resources For Community and Human Services (ARCHS), and St. Louis For Kids
