The Hula-Hoop, Good Time, Happy Show Experience
Clinic Improv performs a montage of longform improv scenes based off a one word suggestion from the audience which sparks an idea in the improvisersâ minds. The improvisers step forward and start developing a setting, a set of characters, directing movement and blocking. Within seconds a story is being told. The way the scenes develop from Barrow, Syberg, and Cleveland is unique. Their perspective is dark, satirical; they say things that are honest and real. In that honest reality, there is humor and characters that are relatable even for all of their faults.
The show involves not only improv, but interludes of video sketch that will provide fodder for that next awkward work get-together. The one where people are standing around grasping for things to say, and someone quotes a line from the Clinic Improv show and those that laugh are in on the joke, forming a bond that will forever bring those together. Donât lose out on that bond â Donât be the one whoâs not in on the joke.
Stray Dog Theatre welcomes a new partnership with the Clinic Improv, featuring the talents of Lindsey Barrow, Randall Cleveland, and Ric Syberg.
