Hosted by WBFO's Bert Gambini, Nickel City Cake Challenge is a live, head-to-head cake decorating competition featuring three of Western New York's most creative and talented cake artists, a team of professional judges and a whole lot of fun for our audience!
Tickets for Nickel City Cake Challenge cost $20 each and will go on sale on Friday, January 15th! They can only be purchased during business hours at Artisan Kitchens & Baths (200 Amherst Street, Buffalo).
There are a VERY limited number of tickets available here, online, beginning Wednesday, January 13th at 8 a.m. *****Only Nickel City Chef Facebook friends will have access to the secret code required to purchase them.*****
During Nickel City Cake Challenge, our hand-selected professional decorators will have just two hours to complete a cake that meets specific criteria and is in keeping with the theme "Wedding in Buffalo."
Our decorators were selected from a pool of challengers who submitted applications and sketches to our panel. Selected for their diversity and passion, Nickel City Cake Challenge "Wedding in Buffalo" decorators are:

We are confident that each decorator will bring their own style, skill set, experience and personality to the challenge, and that they will present our audience with an exhilarating and creative competition!
Nickel City Cake Challenge will be held at Artisan Kitchens & Baths, home of the Nickel City Chef series. In Artisan's stunning loft showroom, each artist and their assistant will work from one of Artisan's three $100,000 kitchens in front of a panel of professional judges and a live audience.
During the two hour competition, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy our Custom Hot Chocolate Bar & Confectionery Station, view cake decorating demonstrations, sample sweets from our partners Lake Effect Ice Cream and Niagara Popcorn and vote for their favorite cake from the day's amateur entries.
Note: Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen under any circumstance. This event is not recommended for children under 10.
