A fashion show in support of underprivileged women in India by NC State University College of Textiles and Association for India's Development (AID).
First Annual Fashion show featuring the 2014 Hunar Revolution collection and Launch of Hunar Revolution website (http://www.Hunarrevolution.com) A Womens' Livelihood and Service learning project involving NCSU students and Hunar womens group in Rajasthan India. Check the modern contemporary designs in ethnic Jaipuri colors and fabric.
Mingle, munch and shop at the conclusion of the event. An assortment of products made by women in other livelihood projects supported by AID will also be on display and sale.
Hunar Revolution is a collaboration between students at North Carolina State University's College of Textiles and underprivileged women tailors in Jaipur, India. Along with AID, we are connecting cultures to make a difference. The designs are made in their homes, not in a factory. We sell directly to you and impoverished women benefit.
Association for India's Development is a volunteer movement promoting sustainable, equitable and just development. AID supports grassroots organizations in India and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as agriculture, energy, education, health , livelihoods, natural resources including land and water, women's empowerment and social justice.
