Join Slow Food East Bay for our first event of 2010, on Sunday January 24th. Between noon and 1 pm, Thomas Odermatt, owner of Roli Roti, will serve us porchetta sandwiches, roasted potatoes, and a seasonal salad prepared on a mobile rotisserie at the Hangar One site. Thomas has gained widespread notoriety for the quality of his cuisine, and for popularizing meat seasonality. Participants will have an opportunity to speak with Thomas about these and other topics. We will provide plates, utensils, cups, and water. Participants desiring something else to drink with lunch should bring it with them.

At 1 pm, the group will proceed into Hangar One for a 60-90 minute tour of the distillery. Hangar One and St. George Spirits are highly regarded for their craft vodkas and spirits. Following the tour, participants ages 21 and over will have the option to taste various vodkas and spirits. Tasting menus are $10 and $15 extra (not included). Tasters can split their tasting with another to decrease alcohol intake.

Event is limited to 25 participants maximum.
