Field & Fork Network 2010 Farmer-Chef Conference
Please join us for the 2010 Farmer-Chef Conference. This very popular event allows chefs, farmers, industry professionals, value-added producers, dietitians, nutritionists, educators, market managers, culinary students and the media the opportunity to participate in a variety of programming and workshops that will further their understanding of the local food movement, its promising future, and their place in it.
Last year's event sold out quickly, so reserve your seat today! It is suggested that you visit our website (www.FarmerChefConference.wordpress.com) and peruse the offerings available before you begin the ticket ordering process. All workshops will need to be selected before the sale is complete. Though our workshops are identified as being "Beginner Track" or "Advanced Track", we hope that you will choose any class you are interested in regardless of your level of experience. You will also find details there about the conference schedule, our workshop leaders and keynote speakers.
Cost for the conference includes: Lunch and refreshments, participation in all workshops and panel discussions, educational materials, admission to the Tasting & Tradeshow and inclusion in the printed Local Resource portion of the conference program. For an additional $5, you and your business can be included in the Buy Local Online Resource Guide available on Field & Fork's website beginning in February 2010. This guide has been unavailable to the general public over the last year, but has nonetheless facilitated farmer to chef sales with over two dozen local restaurants and organizations. The $5 maintenance fee insures your inclusion in this online guide for 2010 and is available to: farmers, restaurants, markets, butchers, wineries, breweries and other artisan producers.
2010 KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:
CHEF MICHAEL STADTLANDER of Eigensinn Farm & Canadian Chefs Congress
PATRICK MARTINS of Heritage Foods & Slow Food USA
KATHLEEN HARRIS of Northeast Livestock Processing & Currytown Farm
(Complete biographies of our keynotes can be found on the Farmer-Chef Conference website.)
