Intro to Improv
Pan Theater Oakland, CA
Try your hand at improvisational theater (acting) in a small, relaxed class. This short class gives you a taste of improv. Course material includes theater games, and skill building exercises.
Introduction to Improv is the perfect way to explore your interest in improv acting. Upon completion of the class students will have a good foundation for our Improv Basics class or other improv related classes. This class is a fun, relaxed, and chance to learn about both improv and Pan Theater. For more information visit: http://www.pantheater.com
Note: There is no need to be funny and no pressure to make people laugh through the work. Humor may arise out of a scene or may not. The exercises teach the skills necessary to become more verbally/mentally fluid. Humor arises from the work, though good scenes can just as easily be dramatic and serious.
Note: Please give time for parking. We are one block from the 19th Street BART if you are BARTing. Our Saturday 5:30pm to 7:30pm classes include free admission to our Saturday 8pm and 9:10pm shows
